Electronics Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • li_ico Develop innovative electrical component, assembly, and system-level designs in Altium to meet product requirements.
  • li_ico Develop and check PCBA layout drawings in Altium and perform component/assembly tolerance analysis and functional interface between sub-assemblies as necessary.
  • li_ico Supervise and develop complete electrical system-level designs thru the PLM system.
  • li_ico Contribute technical leadership to R&D projects in a team setting to meet project cost targets, budget requirements, and delivery dates.
  • li_ico Develop verification test plans, check the accuracy of test results, and draw logical conclusions.
  • li_ico Responsible for the manufacturability and overall cost of complete products.
  • li_ico Responsible for applying industry best practices for manufacturability as well as identifying and implementing new technologies.
  • li_ico Drive Continuous Improvement in technical information (i.e., process records, schematics drawings, SOPs, prototype, and fixture drawings) as needed to evaluate and support product design operations.
  • li_ico Provide technical assistance company-wide including outside vendors.
  • li_ico Conduct MultiSIM, Proteus, CircuitLOGIX, XSPICE analysis, and other numerical simulations as required.
  • li_ico Technical Ownership within the SIG NPI process (New Product Introduction).
  • li_ico Design and schematic drawing checker for other electrical engineers in R&D.
  • li_ico Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
  • li_ico Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
  • li_ico Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • li_ico Must be able to travel infrequently.
  • li_ico Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

  • li_ico Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • li_ico 6+ years of experience as an electrical engineer required.
  • li_ico Demonstrates expert-level skill in the use of the following software programs, Altium, LabView, Visual Studio and C/C++ development environments, RTOS systems, Verilog/VDHL, and Agile PLM.
  • li_ico Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Project and Visio.
  • li_ico Classwork and practical electrical engineering design experience.
  • li_ico Ability to interpret technical instructions in schematic, mathematical, or diagram form.
  • li_ico Experience in supplier capabilities, cost analysis, and process in the manufacture of components and PCBA fabrication to required specifications.
  • li_ico Ability to write and review reports and procedures, and effectively present information to team members and management.
  • li_ico Ability to define and resolve problems by collecting and analyzing data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and executing solutions.
  • li_ico Experience using and maintaining firearms is preferred.
  • li_ico Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
